EKKÓ
EKKÓ is a production-ready concert project featuring five works by Faroese composers written for Kwartludium ensemble. Each ca. 10-minute piece reflects on ecology and humanity’s relationship to nature, together forming a one-hour program that offers a vivid portrait of the Faroese new music scene across generations. The project premiered in July 2025 in the Faroe Islands and is now ready to be presented internationally. Designed as a flexible, small-scale production, it can be adapted to different venues and set up on the same day, with the main technical requirement being standard support for electronics (microphones, sound system, technician), as three of the five works use electronic elements. With its strong narrative and accessible framing, the program is ideal for a broad contemporary music audience, from festival-goers to curious listeners new to new music.
