Dagna Sadkowska

She graduated Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw in violin class lead by professor Krzysztof Bakowski. She many times participated in master courses in Lancut (prof. Marina Jaszwili’s class), in Glucholazy (prof. Tomasz Tomaszewski’s class), she also twice held scholarship in chamber music courses in St. Johann (Austria) in the violin class of prof. Christos Polyzoides and prof. Martin Tuksa. Since 2000 she has been cooperating with prof. Kaija Saarikettu (specialist on contemporary Finnish violin literature), the cooperation was started during her stay at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. She twice performed at Contemporary Music Festival “Warsaw Autumn” as a musician of “Wiosenna Orkiestra” conducterd by Jerzy Maksymiuk and Jacek Kasprzyk. In 1998 she reache the third stage of Polish XX Century Music Competition in Radziejowice, and in 2000, as a member of a piano trio supervised by prof. Maja Nosowska, she reached the finals of Chamber Music Competition in Lódz. Each year she takes part in Polish Student Musical Forum being concertmaster of the Chamber Orchestra conducted by Milosz Bambinow and specialising in performance of contemporary music. Since 2000 she has cooperated with “Mala Filharmonia” Chamber Orchestra conducted by Marcin Niesiolowski. Dagna Sadkowska specialises in performance of contemporary music. She has performed many works of Polish contemporary composers. For seven years she has used her experience as a musician in her work with children. She is the author of curriculum of music and music therapy for primary and grammar school.
